Meet Sian Ogge
Overview
Sian practices exclusively in the area of succession law including asset structuring and planning, trusts, estate planning, probate, estate administration and estate litigation in both Queensland and New South Wales. She is particularly interested in contested or difficult probate matters and family provision claims.
Sian is empathetic to the needs of her clients who are often unfamiliar with succession law and are grieving the loss of a loved one. Sian is able to identify the strengths and weaknesses of an estate litigation application. She recognises the need to be commercial whilst having regard to her client’s prospects of success.
Prior to joining Small Myers Hughes in 2017, Sian gained her experience in Sydney in the areas of mercantile law, civil and commercial litigation, succession law, family law property settlements and commercial leasing. Her junior years have given her a well-rounded experience practising law.
Sian completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations at Griffith University, Gold Coast and was admitted as a solicitor to the Queensland Supreme Court in March 2013.
In 2021, Sian completed her Masters of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in Estate Planning and Wills and Estates and was awarded the best graduating student prize for her Wills and Estates major. Sian is also a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), which is a global professional association for those advising on succession law or wealth planning.

It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its layout. The point of using Lorem Ipsum is that it has a more-or-less normal distribution of letters, as opposed to using ‘Content here, content here’, making it look like readable English.
